Monument for Denmark’s International Effort since 1948
At Kastellet, The Citadele, you can find a monument for Denmarks International effort since 1948 Finn Reinbothe’s monument, Inaugurated on Flag Day 5 September 2011, consists of three spaces, defined by granite-covered walls with build-in lighting. One wall displays the inscription En tid – Et sted – Et menneske – translated into English: One time – One place – One human. Another space is for the currently deployed personnel – with an eternal flame and inscriptions with names of the conflict and catastrophe areas. Our Fallen soldiers monument
A bronze monument at the entrance to the Citadel (Kastellet) in Copenhagen. The monument is dedicated to the Danish soldiers who lost their lives in World War II. Thomas Dambos trolls
Thomas Dambo is an artist based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Dambo is known worldwide for transforming waste into playful works of art. He uses materials that others throw away to create his famous troll sculptures, which can be found all over the world. Around Copenhagen you can find a few of Thomas Dombos famous trolls. At Christiania you can meet Green George and in Nordhavn you meet Kaptajn Kalle. Also Suttetrolden Sanka is located in Remiseparken, a neighborhood at Amager about a 20-minute bike ride from the center of the city. Not so far from Copenhagen you can find trolls at Dragør, Roskilde, Ishøj, Vallensbæk, Rødovre, Albertslund, Hvidovre and Høje-Taastrup.

Parken Stadium
At Østerbro you find the Parken Stadium. The Stadium was built from 1990 to 1992. Parken was built on the site of former Denmark national stadium, Idrætsparken. The Stadium currently has a capacity of 38,190 for football games. It is the home of F.C. Copenhagen and the Denmark national football team. Also used as a concert venue. The Genetically Modified Mermaid
The Genetically Modified Little Mermaid can be found at Dahlerup’s Warehouse on Langelinie. The artwork was created by Bjørn Nørgaard and was unveiled at this location in 2006. Originally, it was made for the Danish pavilion at Expo 2000 in Hanover. The Mermaid is a part of a culpture group called The Genetically Modified Paradise. Kastellet (The Citadel)
One of the best preserved fortresses in Northern Europe. It is constructed in the form of a pentagon with bastions at its corners. The Citadel was founded by Danish King Christian 4 in 1626.It was completed until the mid-1640s, shortly after King Frederick III succeeded King Christian IV.
