At Sankt Annæ Plads you find a statue of JPE Hartmann.

Johan Peter Emilius Hartmann lived from 1805 to 1900 and was a central Danish composer and organist during the 19th-century “Golden Age” of Danish music.

Hartmann was born in a now demolished house at the corner of Bredgade and Sankt Annæ Plads.

The monument consists of a bronze sculpture standing on a granite plinth. Hartmann is depicted seated on a chair, studying some sheet music lying in his lap.
