Copenhagen City Hall

Copenhagen City Hall (Københavns Rådhus) is the situated on the City Hall Square in the center of Copenhagen next to Tivoli.

It houses the headquarters of the Copenhagen City Council as well as the office of the Lord mayor of the Copenhagen Municipality.

The current building was designed by the Danish architect Martin Nyrop and constructed between 1892 and 1905. Nyrop was inspired by the town halls of Italy.

The current structure is the sixth city hall in Copenhagen. Today it is used for Civic Council meetings, weddings and national celebrations.
