Rundetårn (Round tower)

Rundetårn (Round tower) is one the most iconic sights in Copenhagen. It is a 35 meter high round building in the center of the city.

 Rundetårn was built in 1642 by King Christian IV as an astronomical observatory and is today one of the most visited attractions in Copenhagen.

The tower was originally built to help astronomers observe the movements of the stars and planets.
